Sectional elevations are useful for illustrating how the internal elevations align within the building.
The position of the sectional elevation is worked out in the same way as for any of the other elevations but the surfaces which have been cut through are carefully cross-hatched to make the section show up more clearly. Our examples show sections in different directions through walls in both orthographic and isometric projection.
